RA Machine is the CNC machine division of R.A. Auto Engineering Works, an engineering company in Kolkata, India, founded in 1989 and building machines since 2008. We make CNC laser and plasma cutting machines, MIG, TIG, MMA and submerged arc welding machines, and cobot and robotic welding systems, and supply them across India and abroad. We are GST registered, hold an Import Export Code for export, and have supplied Indian Railways since 2022 as a preferred vendor for certain safety-critical items. Alongside our machine range, we also cut parts to your drawing on our own fiber laser equipment for customers who do not need to buy a machine. More about RA Machine

Job work

What we need

RA Machine offers laser cutting job work on our own fiber laser equipment, so you get clean, accurate parts cut to your drawing without the capital cost or floor space a machine of your own would require — suited to prototype runs, short batches, or when your own machine is down or fully booked.

Materials & thickness

We cut carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and galvanised sheet, from thin-gauge sheet up to heavier plate for structural work. Send your material specification with the drawing and we will confirm feasibility as part of the quotation.

Drawing formats

DXF and DWG import directly into our nesting software for the fastest, most accurate quotation. We also accept PDF drawings or clear scanned sketches for simpler geometry, which our team can redraw where needed.

Turnaround

Most orders are completed within a few working days of drawing approval, with a firm delivery date confirmed in writing at the quotation stage. Larger or more complex batches are scheduled against an agreed date upfront.

Pricing

Confirmed before we start, at the quotation stage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about job work

What materials and thicknesses can you cut for job work orders?

We cut carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and galvanised sheet across the thickness ranges our fiber laser machines support, from thin gauge sheet up to heavy plate depending on the material. Send us your drawing with material and thickness noted and we will confirm feasibility along with the quotation.

What file formats do you accept for cutting drawings?

We accept DXF and DWG files as the preferred formats for nesting and cutting, along with PDF or scanned sketches for simpler parts where we can redraw the geometry ourselves. Clear dimensions, material specification and quantity in your file or covering email help us quote and schedule the job faster.

What is the typical turnaround time for job work orders?

Turnaround depends on part complexity, material thickness and current order load, but most straightforward job work orders are completed within a few working days of drawing approval and material confirmation. Larger or more complex batches are scheduled with a confirmed delivery date given at the time of quotation.

Is there a minimum order quantity for job work?

There is no fixed minimum order quantity; we take on both single-part prototype cutting and larger production batches. Very small orders may carry a modest handling charge to cover machine setup time, which we disclose upfront in the quotation so there are no surprises on the final invoice.

How do I send drawings and get a quotation?

Use the quote form on this page to upload or describe your drawing, material, thickness and quantity, or email or WhatsApp us directly with the file attached. We will confirm feasibility, price and turnaround in writing before any cutting begins, so you can approve the job with full clarity.
